Weekly Trade Activity versus the SPY for 4/1/2019 - 4/5/2019
Hello folks, I wanted to prepare a trade summary for all my trade ideas made this week as well as an outlook for all trades currently being held. In the future I'd like to figure out a better method to summarizing the weekly activity, and include key portfolio statistics vs the SPY. However, for the time being this will do.
From each idea and each take profit proposed an equal position is to have been assumed to have been opened. i.e. if an idea has 3 Take Profits then three positions would be opened with take profits at each tier. Furthermore, a trailing stop loss is assumed for each Take Profit level.
High Level:
+24 Trade Ideas resulting in 39 Opened positions; and 5 pending.
+Realized Gain Losses returned an average 5.55% for the week.
+Unrealized Gain Losses returned an average 1.42% for the week.
+If all positions closed out would net an average return of 6.97% for the week.
+15 Positions closed, 14 Take Profit and 1 Stop Loss
+24 Positions remain open, net positive to an account.
+SPY returned 1.44% for the week. Realized Gains greater than SPY return and Unrealized trending with market.
Summary: My synopsis of my proposed ideas remain positive; there is a likely-hood more positions will stop-out in the following week(s); however, I surmise many positions to still be in good standing and are climbing towards their TP levels. All trades are managed and risk is limited by using stop losses; albiet losses are not always at a positive ratio to the take profit they are drawn based upon technical and price analysis.
