Some recent euphoric optimism for the S&P 500 has driven caused short term consolidation in precious metals, but I'm seeing some uncertainty cause flight back into stable hedge securities like gold, silver, and bonds right now. I don't think we're going to get a hard rally in the major indexes without another significant correction, so I'm seeking some alpha elsewhere. I've largely held my positions well through recent broader drawn downs, and I suspect more are to come this 2019Q4. People are looking for good news to explain recent attempts by the broader market to pull out of this recent price slump, and they're sounding more and more desperate to me.
