Each dip is met with small bids, creating a staircase-like drop. This kind of move doesn’t trigger panic immediately, but it’s dangerous because it builds up pressure. Eventually, when buyers dry up, a larger breakdown happens.
On contrary, the right side shows a fast flow. Here, a large sell order slams into a thin order book, causing an immediate price spike down. There's little resistance, and multiple levels are skipped. This creates an inefficient move, often forming a sharp wick. These fast drops are typically caused by fear, liquidation, or aggressive exit orders. But what’s interesting is the recovery: because the move was so aggressive and liquidity was so thin, price can snap back up quickly. These are often V-shaped reversals with low resistance on the way back.
Try to look for such setups on the chart and learn how the price behaves . Studying such cases will help you identifying upcoming sell-offs/pumps and earn on them.

Why Large Language Models Struggle with Financial Analysis.Large language models revolutionized areas where text generation, analysis, and interpretation were applied. They perform fabulously with volumes of textual data by drawing logical and interesting inferences from such data. But it is precisely when these models are tasked with the analysis of numerical, or any other, more-complex mathematical relationships that are inevitable in the world of financial analysis that obvious limitations start to appear.
Let's break it down in simpler terms.
Problem in Math and Numerical Data Now, imagine a very complicated mathematical formula, with hundreds of variables involved. All ChatGPT would actually do, if you asked it to solve this, is not really a calculation in the truest sense; it would be an educated guess based on the patterns it learned from training.
That could be used to predict, for example, after reading through several thousand symbols, that the most probable digit after the equals sign is 4, based on statistical probability, but not because there's a good deal of serious mathematical reason for it. This, in short, is a consequence of the fact indicated above, namely that LLMs are created to predict patterns in a language rather than solve equations or carry out logical reasoning through problems. To put it better, consider the difference between an English major and a math major: the English major can read and understand text very well, but if you hand him a complicated derivative problem, he's likely to make an educated guess and check it with a numerical solver, rather than actually solve it step by step.
That is precisely how ChatGPT and similar models tackle a math problem. They just haven't had the underlying training in how to reason through numbers in the way a mathematics major would do.
Financial Analysis and Applying It
Okay, so why does this matter for financial analysis? Suppose you were engaging in some financial analytics on the performance of a stock based on two major data sets: 1) a corpus of tweets about the company and 2) movements of the stock. ChatGPT would be great at doing some sentiment analysis on tweets.
This is able to scan through thousands of tweets and provide a sentiment score, telling if the public opinion about the company is positive, negative, or neutral. Since text understanding is one of the major functionalities of LLMs, it is possible to effectively conduct the latter task.
It gets a bit more challenging when you want it to take a decision based on numerical data. For example, you might ask, "Given the above sentiment scores across tweets and additional data on stock prices, should I buy or sell the stock at this point in time?" It's for this that ChatGPT lets you down. Interpreting raw numbers in the form of something like price data or sentiment score correlations just isn't what LLMs were originally built for.
In this case, ChatGPT will not be able to judge the estimation of relationship between the sentiment scores and prices. If it guesses, the answer could just be entirely random. Such unreliable prediction would be not only of no help but actually dangerous, given that in financial markets, real monetary decisions might be based on the data decisions.
Why Causation and Correlation are Problematic for LLMs More than a math problem, a lot of financial analysis is really trying to figure out which way the correlation runs—between one set of data and another. Say, for example, market sentiment vs. stock prices. But then again, if A and B move together, that does not automatically mean that A causes B to do so because correlation is not causation. Determination of causality requires orders of logical reasoning that LLMs are absolutely incapable of.
One recent paper asked whether LLMs can separate causation from correlation. The researchers developed a data set of 400,000 samples and injected known causal relationships to it. They also tested 17 other pre-trained language models, including ChatGPT, on whether it can be told to determine what is cause and what is effect. The results were shocking: the LLMs performed close to random in their ability to infer causation, meaning they often couldn't distinguish mere correlation from true cause-and-effect relationships. Translated back into our example with the stock market, one might see much more clearly why that would be a problem. If sentiment towards a stock is bullish and the price of a stock does go up, LLM simply wouldn't understand what the two things have to do with each other—let alone if it knew a stock was going to continue to go up. The model may as well say "sell the stock" as give a better answer than flipping a coin would provide.
Will Fine-Tuning Be the Answer
Fine-tuning might be a one-time way out. It will let the model be better at handling such datasets through retraining on the given data. The fine-tuned model for sentiment analysis of textual stock prices should, in fact, be made to pick up the trend between those latter two features.
However, there's a catch.
While this is also supported by the same research, this capability is refined to support only similar operating data on which the models train. The immediate effect of the model on completely new data, which involves sentiment sources or new market conditions, will always put its performance down.
In other words, even fine-tuned models are not generalizable; thus, they can work with data which they have already seen, but they cannot adapt to new or evolving datasets.
Plug-ins and External Tools: One Potential Answer Integration of such systems with domain-specific tooling is one way to overcome this weakness. This is quite akin to the way that ChatGPT now integrates Wolfram Alpha for maths problems. Since ChatGPT is incapable of solving a math problem, it sends the problem further to Wolfram Alpha—a system set up and put in place exclusively for complex calculations—and then relays the answer back to them.
The exact same approach could be replicated in the case of financial analysis: Once the LLM realizes it's working with numerical data or that it has had to infer causality, then work on the general problem can be outsourced to those prepared models or algorithms that have been developed for those particular tasks. Once these analyses are done, the LLM will be able to synthesize and lastly provide an enhanced recommendation or insight. Such a hybrid approach of combining LLMs with specialized analytical tools holds the key to better performance in financial decision-making contexts. What does that mean for a financial analyst and a trader? Thus, if you plan to use ChatGPT or other LLMs in your financial flow of analysis, such limitations shall not be left unattended. Powerful the models may be for sentiment analysis, news analysis, or any type of textual data analysis, numerical analysis should not be relayed on by such models, nor correlational or causality inference-at least not without additional tools or techniques. If you want to do quantitative analysis using LLMs or trading strategies, be prepared to carry out a lot of fine-tuning and many integrations of third-party tools that will surely be able to process numerical data and more sophisticated logical reasoning. That said, one of the most exciting challenges for the future is perhaps that as research continues to sharpen their capability with numbers, causality, and correlation, the ability to use LLMs robustly within financial analysis may improve.

This PPF shows the opportunity cost of producing each product. Producing 100 units of cheese means that only 40 units of yoghurt can be produced instead of the
potential of 90. Therefore, the opportunity cost is 90 - 40 = 50 units of yoghurt.
The PPF not only illustrates opportunity costs but can also indicate economic growth or decline. Economic growth is depicted by an outward shift of the PPF curve, indicating an increase in the economy's productive potential.
A decline in the economy is represented by an inward shift of the curve.

Stop loss is a way to minimize losses in current market trades and is frequently mentioned. However, the essence of stop loss is not just setting a stop loss price. In particular, in markets such as forex and futures where long and short positions can be taken, too many stop losses will undoubtedly cause significant loss of capital. Market leaders use people's fear to cause repeated shocks, even unilateral rises or falls to trigger short-term traders' stop loss prices, and then quickly retract. The normal daily volatility of the stock market is also around 5%, so if your stop loss is set at 5%, won't it often be hit?

However, if the sustainability is strong, it continuously sets new highs, and trading volume continues to increase, a new trend can be determined, and the stop-loss can be changed to a trailing stop. Its price should be set at a price that falls more than one time period beyond the highest or lowest price, and there is no new high or low in three consecutive time periods. At this time, it can be judged that the trend has stopped and entered a range-bound market. For example, if the time period is a 5-minute candlestick chart, then the trailing stop should be set at a price formed by a relatively large 5-minute candlestick chart. But generally, it should not exceed two candlestick chart prices, because beyond this price, the profit left is often very small.
The 3:1 golden stop-loss rule in trading skills means that the profit of the take-profit point is three times the loss of the stop-loss point. We are gonna go through 6 crucial points and elaborate how traders are different from gamblers.
1) As a trader, one’s aim is to focus on the next 100 trades instead of the next 10. Long-term success, profitability, and consistency are two of the main things traders should target. However, a gambler’s wish and desire is to make quick money.
2) A successful trader/investor has a backtested trading plan that he sticks to and optimizes along the way, adapting to changing market conditions. On the other hand, gamblers like to trade based off what other people think and tweet, or by simply opening a random Buy/Sell position and hoping it plays out successfully.
3) Profitable traders always diversify their portfolio and risk no more than 1-2% per trade. On the contrary, gamblers go “full margin mode” on a single trade without setting a Stop Loss and end up blowing their accounts and blaming the markets.
4) Chasing markets and rushing the process is not what real traders do. Instead, they follow their plan and wait for the price to play out and match their entry criteria before executing. Nonetheless, gamblers like to overtrade, open positions based on nothing, make biased decisions.
5) When enduring a loss or two (or three), traders neither get emotional nor try to revenge the markets. They know that if they obey risk management principles and open high risk-to-reward positions, they will cover all their previous losses and get back to making profits. Gamblers, on the other hand, get angry and start attempting to revenge the market by making foolish decisions and entering many illogical trades.
6) Last but not least, if you want to be successful and profitable in this field, you have to treat trading as a business and take things seriously. Those that think markets are a playground or a casino machine will never succeed in this space.

Gambling involves staking on the occurrence of an event that has an uncertain outcome for winning. For an action to be considered as gambling, three prerequisites must be present; the stake, the risk involved and the prize to be obtained upon the occurrence of the event.

Trading on the other hand, involves the buying and selling of financial instruments like cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, derivatives amongst others. There are several types of trading such as high-frequency trading, day trading, etc. each of which has its pros and cons.
Historically, the trading of financial instruments began in the 17th century after merchants banded together to form joint-stock companies. In 1602, the Dutch East India Co. issued the first recorded paper shares, allowing for the trading of stocks. Everything I've learned about the RSI BINANCE:BTCUSDT
In this post, I'll make an attempt to share everything I've learned over the Relative Strength Index (RSI) Over the past 24 months.
Nothing described in this post is financial advice, it's just me, sharing thoughts and ideas with you.
nb: this post is more suited for traders and investors that are already educated about the RSI Indicators.
A brief introduction about the indicator itself :
The relative strength index (RSI) is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis. RSI measures the speed and magnitude of a security's recent price changes to evaluate whether it's better to buy, sell, or wait.
The RSI is displayed as an oscillator (a line graph) on a scale of zero to 100.
The RSI is probably the most used oscillator in finance nowadays, by both retail traders and institutions, hence meaning that when used well , it can be used as a great edge to profitability.
RSI popular uses :
- An asset is usually considered overbought when the RSI is above 70 and oversold when it is below 30.
- The RSI can give us insights on a potential trend's loss of momentum or validity when the price pivots levels are diverging with the RSI indicator (hidden and regular divergences)
- The most popular RSI length is 14 periods.
My findings
1. Overbought and oversold: myth or reality?
RSI's 30 and 70 levels never proved themselves to be a strong enough edge for me to be used as a standalone signal for trade entries.
As an example, just look at the irregularity of the results you would get when using just these zones :
My take on it is that as a price oscillator when it crosses into extremes, it simply means price momentum is at extreme levels. To me it's basically like a mountain cyclist in the middle of a race: he might very well go faster and higher, however, the quicker and higher he goes the more unlikely he is to keep up with that speed. Eventually, he might either decrease its speed or even go backward.
What does this tell us ?
The RSI 30 and 70 levels seem to be better used when used as timing indicators. For example, the 70 and 30 levels could be used as a filter for a trader to eliminate market noise when using a trend reversal strategy (mean-reversion). For trend traders, the levels could be used to timing signals where they'll start looking for price to do a pullback (consolidation) to get in the trend.
My experience using the 30 and 70 levels as exit signals however has been better (when it comes to using it as the only signal for a trade exit).
Say you are long on BTCUSD, in profit, and you get an RSI closure above 70. Well, in that case, you could exit 50% of your position and wait for the oscillator to cross down the 70 levels to exit the rest (as the overbought and oversold zones are rarely a defining factor for trend reversals and corrections).
2. Divergences in the overbought and oversold zones :
The lower the time frame you are trading on is, the higher the noise when it comes to divergences, especially with volatile assets such as BTCUSD. So you might want to filter out most of the ones you see to only take the best ones.
On the 15M and 5M timeframes, on BTCUSD, I find that on average about 1/3 of the divergences I see play out. However, we are not expected to take every divergence we see.
Here's what has helped me get better results with divergences :
- When approaching supply and demand zones, especially the higher timeframe ones, we might want to be more aggressive with the divergences we enter into. As the hit rate is not always amazing, the R:R is usually much better, and if the trade works out, it might give you great results which accounts for the low win rate.
- If you want to increase your win rate, I also find that going for higher timeframes is usually better when it comes to divergences.
- Take only divergences where RSI divergence's first pivot point is over 70 or under 30. Ideally, you don't want the noise to go below 60, or above 40, so that your trade has the necessary momentum to play out.
- For extra confirmation, wait for a break of the noise level to enter the trade.
- Regular and hidden divergences play hand in hand creating a form of momentum equilibrium. Hidden divergences always create regular divergences and vice versa. Hence a hidden divergence can be considered an early pullback warning to get in a bigger-picture trend.
- Regular divergences tend to play out better than hidden divergences. This is especially true when the volume is decreasing, or after a longer period of consolidation when volatility has been contracting and might be about to expand soon.
- Regular divergences in strong trends can be both a disaster and a treat. "The trend is your friend". This saying is especially true here. However, 2-3 drives of regular divergences are a great indication of a potential reversal, with enough confirmation factors to produce (often time) a great entry.
- The angle of the trend line between divergences pivot points, both on the price chart and the RSI, can be a good indication of the severity of the divergence occurring.
- The ideal lookback period for detecting divergences for me has proved to be between 5 and 28 bars. (Below 5 bars is not enough to confirm a true pivot point for me and above 28 bars has probably already played out in past price movements).
- Like all edges, using a divergence strategy always produces better results when used in confluence with other signals. I find the best confluences happen when divergences occur: alongside a stochastic cross, near medium-slow moving averages, near horizontal supply and demand zones, alongside volatility expansion, when the volume is decreasing (meaning market makes are in disagreement with the move occurring), near Bollinger bands 2.5 to 3 standard deviations (period 20).
- Convergence between your timeframes and higher timeframes is key to understanding how to better choose your trades. Try to play the big divergences but enter smaller timeframes divergences.
- When you lose a divergence trade, don't get disappointed. Jump back in because often time, and price will need to do several divergences before getting in your desired direction (however, be careful not to jump in tilt mod. Know your win rate and R:R and keep your money management serious. You'll get blown out if you start tilting on this, especially if you trade reversals with divergences, as it's difficult to get the right timing every time).
3. RSI as a trend filter?
- I've found that in trending markets, when RSI's Exponential Moving Average (EMA) crosses above the 50 line, it's an indication of an uptrend and vice versa. However, this is less effective in ranging markets as there's more noise, hence more invalid crosses.
- I've found that in trending markets when the RSI line crosses above the EMA (I use a 12 period), it's an indication of an uptrend and vice versa. However, this is less effective in ranging markets as there's more noise, hence more invalid crosses.
- As an indication of the trend's direction, I don't find any value in using bullish and bearish control zones. The only use I can find them is when using them for divergence levels filters.
This is the end of the first post of this 2 parts series. There's just so much more you can discover about this indicator that it simply cannot be constricted to a few lines of writing. However, you are welcome to take a few of my findings and go test them out using replay and backtesting. See for yourself, and find your balance.

Education: VolumeIntroduction
A financial transaction involving an exchange of goods results from a mutual agreement between buyer and seller. When referring to securities like stocks, an amount of goods exchanged between these two parties is called a volume. On a chart, the volume is often represented by green and red bars below the graph of a particular security. Information about the volume can give an analyst a better sense of market sentiment and help with the timing of trades.
Volume and liquidity
The amount of liquidity in a market translates to the ability to buy or sell a security. Money market instruments and marketable securities are considered to be liquid assets. However, market conditions do not always allow for enough liquidity, which is reflected in the volume. Sometimes, low liquidity may result in volatile price action, trend reversals, market gaps, etc. Generally, securities with high daily volume are more liquid than securities with low daily volume. Market holidays and shortened trading sessions have a tendency to be accompanied by low daily volume.

The picture above shows Histogen Inc. on a daily time frame. Penny, micro-cap, and nano-cap stocks, which trade over-the-counter, are notorious for their low daily volumes.
The price-volume relationship
Analyzing the price-volume trend can reveal additional clues for the successful execution of a trade. Usually, an asset's simultaneous increase in volume and price is considered positive. Additionally, it often confirms a bullish thesis. However, a decrease in volume accompanying an ongoing rise in the price may give a technical analyst a hint that fewer buyers are willing to buy an asset. Therefore, a technical analyst should treat the decrease in volume and increase in price with some skepticism and pay close attention to it. The same rule applies when volume increases and price decreases simultaneously. Some analysts like to differentiate between significant and insignificant moves depending on the volume size. Price moves that occur on low volume tend to be considered less important than those on high volume. Typically, volume tends to increase as a trend develops. In an uptrend, a security tends to top when buyers are no longer willing to pay the asking price and start leaving a market. In a downtrend, a bottom tends to form when sellers lessen their selling pressure; or a substantial portion of new buyers enter a market. In some instances, quick and sharp growth in volume can signal the beginning of a new trend; or it may imply new traders have entered the market.

The illustration shows the Covid 19 crash in 2020. Volume can be seen increasing in the early stage of the crash; it is accompanied by a fast and sharp drop in price. Eventually, volume can be seen decreasing towards pre-pandemic levels, reflecting weakening selling pressure.
Reporting
Each market exchange tracks and reports its volume data for a particular security. Volume is regularly updated throughout the trading session. However, the figure is only estimated as final figures are reported on the following day.

Predictive Power of Bearish Chart Patterns This is a little, pseudo-study I did on SPY (SPX) analysing bearish chart patterns and whether or not there was a statistically significant relationship between bearish chart patterns and sell-offs and if so, to what degree?
Most of the literature says that chart patterns and technical analysis are not useful and that chart patterns are the circumstances of randomness. Most research argues that you cannot dictate what a stock will do based on the candlestick charts and patterns, as these only offer retro-spective perspectives in the stock and are not able to be used prospectively.
I, as someone with formal education in statistics and also as a full time trader, am torn between these analyses. On one hand, I can see where the researchers are coming from, on the other hand, I know it can’t be 100% true because many people are successful trading these strategies. While my personal strategy relies primarily on math, I would be lying if I said that I did not let chart patterns influence my decisions to some extent.
Also, the majority of people conducting these studies are not themselves traders. I, as someone who published and familiar with conducting research studies, figured meh. Why not get it straight from the horses mouth and do this myself. So alas, here we go!
I will present this as academically and rigorously as possible!
Procedure:
I looked at ONLY bearish chart patterns, particularly the patterns: head and shoulders, double top and triple tops. This was conducted ONLY using the 1 hour time frame, as the 5 minute time-frame would have been too labour intensive.
Additionally, I had included bear flags in the bearish chart patterns, however bear flags usually accompanied head and shoulders and double tops, which were more visible first and thus, I ended up not having any cases of bear flags to include.
The time frame was 1 hour and I included just over 2 years of data, from 2020 through till Friday.
The data was collected using TradingView’s platform and analyzed using SPSS v25.
Definition of Bearish Chart Pattern
I was somewhat lax with my interpretation of double tops and head and shoulders; however, the major inclusion criteria is that they had to be clearly interpretable as the bearish chart pattern. If I had to look and analyze it in-depth with lines, etc., then it was not included. It did not need to be perfect, it could be lopsided, it just needed to be easily recognizable as the pattern. However, Heikin Ashi candles were used to easily identify the patterns and verified via line charts.
Results
Between January 2020 and April 2022, on the 1 hour time frame, there were a total of 24 clearly observable bearish chart patterns. The breakdown is as follows:
Double Top: 12 incidents (50%)
Head and Shoulders: 9 incidents (37.5%)
Triple Top: 3 incidents (12.5%).
The success rate of all patterns was 83.3%.
The most successful chart pattern was a triple top. Of the three documented incidents, the success rate was 100%. The next was head and shoulders with a success rate of 89% (8 passes and 1 fail). The least successful pattern was the double top with a success rate of 75% (9 successes and 3 fails).
The results, and this is the KEY point, WERE in fact statistically significant via analysis through T-Test with a P value of 0.001!!!!! This means that these results cannot be attributable to chance or randomness and in fact, have statistically significant meaning.
Out of all the patterns, the average sell off that accompanied it was a drop of 10 points (standard deviation 11.27). Of the instances that failed, the average rise in price was 9.72 points (standard deviation of 4.66).
Below is a list of the average point sell off by chart pattern when successful:
Head and Shoulders: -12.33 (SD = 9.58)
Double Top: -8.59 (SD = 14.03)
Triple Top: -9.06 (SD = 5.56)
Conclusion / Limitations:
Please note, that this is far from what I would deem scholarly research. The problem with this type of research is trading is highly subjective and in the eyes of the beholder. So, what may be a double top to me, may not be to someone else. I tried to maintain some rigor by making sure that I only included extremely obvious patterns. That said, the time frame is still kind of small to draw sizeable conclusions. As well, my results contradict other, peer reviewed research. However, I have actually found some recent ish research that does support technical analysis and chart patterns. So I am not completely going against current research with this conclusion. And these results tend to support my personal experience trading these patterns.
Also, it is important to understand that this analysis was done with SPY and SPY alone. Thus, I can’t say that these patterns will have the same result on other equities like TSLA, it would only be generalizable to SPY/SPX.
However, I can say for certain based on this study that over the past 2 years and 3 and a half months, double top patterns, head and shoulders patterns and triple top patterns were correct 83.3% of the time.

Let's be honest, I am someone who normally likes to follow the trends. A lot of the trend following indicators I've encountered along the way in my professional and career growth haven't made sense to me. Moving averages, Average Directional Index, Moving Average Convergence-Divergence, Parabolic SAR etc. I always had a lot concerns with the indicators being able to swiftly follow the price movement, as well as identify a clear reversal of the underlying trend. However, I came through to find this SUPER 'super trend' indicator some while ago, and by testing this and adding it to my intraday trading strategy, I finally see that I could rely on one single indicator to help me identify the trend quickly and more efficiently (never 100% of course it is still not a holy grail!) but the results were good enough for me to write down this post to you guys.
What is the Super trend indicator?
'Super trend,' as the name implies, is a trend-following indicator, similar to moving averages and MACD. It is plotted on prices, and the position of the prices reflects the current trend. When we build the Super trend indicator, the default settings are 10 for the ATR and 3 for the multiplier. The average true range (ATR) is important in 'Super trend' since it is used to determine the indicator's value and it indicates the degree of price volatility, which is one reason why this indicator beats Moving averages, which disregards price volatility.
Super trend Indicator Formula
The super trend indicator computation is illustrated below–
Up = (high + low / 2 + multiplier x ATR)
Down = (high + low) / 2 – multiplier x ATR
Average True Range = / 14
The number 14 represents a period in this context. As a result, the ATR is computed by multiplying the previous ATR by 13. Add the most recent TR and divide it by the time.
As a result, ATR is an essential component of the supertrend technical analysis indicator.
How to Use Super trend Indicator to Identify Buy and Sell Signals?
Super Trend, as a trending indicator, performs well in trending markets (both uptrends and downtrends). When the indicator flips over the closing price, it is easy to identify a buy-sell indication. When the Super Trend closes below the price and the colour turns to green, a buy signal is issued. A sell signal is generated when the Super Trend closes above the price and the colour of the Super Trend changes to red.
There is no such thing as a 100 percent accurate technical indicator, and Super Trend is no exception. It also produces erroneous signals in sideways markets, however it produces fewer false signals than other indicators. As a result, you may use Super Trend in conjunction with other indicators to provide more accurate trade signals.

Today we’ll speak about extremely useful tool, that we are integrating in our strategies. So, ladies and gentlemen, love and favor, Pitchfan.
A Pitchfan is a set of rays spreading out of the point of a trend's beginning. These rays inclined with the coefficients formed by a Fibonacci number sequence.it is recommended to apply a Pitchfan after the first wave of the trend has passed and the correction has clearly begun.
To draw a Pitchfan, it's first and second points are to be set at the trend's extreme points, and the third point is to be set at the extreme point of the first correction wave.
Basically, during the bullish trend, put the first point to the beginning of the trend, second to first confirmed higher high, third to the first confirmed higher low. Whereas during bearish trend put the first point to the beginning of the trend, second to first confirmed lower low, third to first confirmed lower high.
When I say «confirmed», I mean two-three candles should close after the high lower and after the low - higher. Kinda difficult? Have a look at the chart and should become more clear.
What does it say?
Initially, if you plot it correctly, it’ll give you clear support resistance levels. This’s information, in my opinion is priceless for any trader cause it’s much easier to predict the future price movements. But the best of usage, seems to me, in conjunction with Fib Retracement or Trend based Fib. Extension. Fib Retracement From ScratchHello, traders!
As you can see, SkyRock traders always use Fib tools for our analysis and predictions. We find Fibonacci tools a great powerful series of instruments that’s necessary to use. Today we’ll speak about one of my favorite TA tools - Fib Retracement.
Fibonacci retracement levels are horizontal lines that indicate where support and resistance are likely to occur. They are based on Fibonacci numbers. Each level is associated with a percentage. The percentage is how much of a prior move the price has retraced. The indicator is useful because it can be drawn between any two significant price points, such as a high and a low. The indicator will then create the levels between those two points. Well, it seems to be not very important and attractive how to calculate Fib Retracement Levels. You should just know that they are based on something called the Golden Ratio. It’s believed that all natural laws are based on this ratio. However, the right usage of it is deadly important.
To initialize it, put the first point to the previous lower low and the second to the confirmed higher high during the up-trend and vice versa during the sown-trend.
What can it tell you?
Initially, support and resistance. It could hardly be possible to find the tool better for such purpose. Then, the levels of it is usually reached, thus it may produce some signals. Although it’s very powerful tool, it’s kinda ridiculous idea to use it marginally. Also, the areas of sideways is also defined by it, cause of high probability of consolidation in «Golden Pocket». And at last, it helps ms to define Gartley and Elliott patterns.

Introduction To Gann Theory | Gann Square From ScratchHello, traders!
Today we gonna start one of the most complicated topics. Please pay as much attention as it possible and ask any questions you like.
Gann technical analysis methods are a bit complicated because they are based on geometry, ancient mathematics, astrology, and astronomy. Popular technical methods like Gann Angles and the Master Charts are at Gann’s disposal. The Gann Square is also among the several powerful tools that Gann developed.
How to use?
It can be used in a variety of ways.
One way is to start at the previous major pivot point (normally the end of the last 5 wave sequence) and draw it so that the 1 X 1 line follows the current market support areas to a good degree.
Simply put, if you want to draw it from the higher high, the end should be at the previous lower low to follow the price cycles. And if you are drawing it from lower low, finish it at previous higher high.
Another way is to highlight geometric formations that can forecast key support and resistance levels by counting forward from the all-time low or all-time high.
Well, I understand the difficulty of the instrument. It's kinda difficult to use it from scratch. However, tomorrow I will elaborate this article with short analysis using this powerful tool.

How we’ve already said, Ichimoku is extremely powerful indicator which is able to demonstrate some hidden information of market and even predict the future prices. Never the less, we’ll give the main application that we use in our daily trading stuff.
How to read a Chart - Part I: Perspectives on VolumePart I - Perspectives on Volume
A. Plain Volume
Introduction
As volume is the most important indicator on price and trend, it is often overlooked and more often not even used. But overall, volume is by far the easiest indicator of all, especially if used in conjunction with price and trend.
As many traders are relying on indicators, trying to ready something out of it - especially trend strength, possible turning points and divergences, exhaustion, breaks, flops, fall-outs, lagging trends and so forth can be seen on a blank chart.
Volume and Direction
Below you’ll see trending where price is following volume and vice versa (Fig. 1).
I’ve colored the volume in black, because too often the volume is colored on behalf of the close of the price range (candle or bar), which is confusing, irritating or even misleading.
As you see, I’ve taken a screenshot of the 15 minute time frame of NIO, but the following doesn*t rely on any specific stock, instrument or asset or any specific time frame; but as always you should take two things into account: the higher the time frame the more reliable and valuable the data and the lower the time frame the noisier the data but the closer the perspective and the earlier the possibility to (re-)act.
Below you’re seeing the same chart with slight annotations. The red arrow above the price bars is showing short selling or profit taking, while the red arrow above the volume is showing increasing volume. The green arrow below the price bars is showing rising interest and buying, while the green arrow above the volume is also signaling soaring interest.
In both cases, the volume is moving in the same direction as price and so this is considered to be a healthy move.
In contrast to the blue arrows above price and volume might be considered as diffident and reluctant buying. As the price is going up or even sideways, the concurring volume is vanishing and fading. According to this, the purple arrows are picturing a quite similar price action, but speaking in terms of selling.
This can be considered as profit taking, restructuring open positions and overall as a regressive move.
Why doesn't price go in one direction only? Why are these regressive moves occurring?
As especially the big trading floors, investment companies, hedge funds and the commercials are trying to get large slices of an asset, it takes time to get and to load up the desired amount. Think of it like this: If you are getting a new furniture like a table or a lamp, you`ll easily put it into the trunk of your car, but if you’re going to move from one flat to another, you’ll need a truck a certain period of time to load up or you’ll even need to drive a few times forth and back before everything is in its new place.
Trend strength
Based upon the former information we are now able to see the basic price moving in trend and regression, but sometimes - or even too often - the two aren’t trodding in the same direction. This is giving clues about the strength of an ongoing move as visualized by the orange arrows in the following figure and is usually easier to spot in upward than in downward movements (the reasons why, I am glad to explain in another chapter).
Divergences
As being one of the most favored tools of interpretation, divergences are also one of the most tremendous and even without any special tools to discover on a blank chart. We speak of divergence if the indication is showing another price direction as the chart itself is. In a regular point of view of the Dow Theory a trend is established by higher highs and higher lows, whilst a sheer price action divergence is considered to be the appearance of a lower high or a lower low in an uptrend and for a downtrend vice versa. A price/volume divergence is seen in the image below.
As marked by red circles, the consecutive higher highs aren't emphasized by increasing volume, rather the opposite is true: the volume of the subsequent high is at best at the same level as the precedent. This is considered classic divergences.
Volume peaks and lows
For the final part of volume basics on a naked chart, we need to have a look at volume spikes. To estimate move and direction properly, we need to ask where the spike has happened. If the previous move was up, the volume should also have risen to a certain extent to display the healthiness of the move. Usually, the peak of the blank volume is appearing on the end of a move, either up or down; therefore, a reversal might happen soon indicated by the red and green arrows in the figure hereinafter).
On the other hand, if a higher than usual volume is occuring at a resistance and breaking through, a future move seems likely.
But if the peak is happening within a range at no specific point of interest, then sellers or buyers most probably have cashed in and closed their positions.
When going for volume lows, it is quite easy: lows are usually appearing if there is no interest in buying or selling
B. Volume Delta and Cumulative Volume
Generally speaking, all of the analysis as written above might also be taken into account if looking at volume deltas. In the figure below. For this I’m using the “Simple CVD over MA” ( ) to exemplify the ease of use of volume; the settings are cumulative volume over previous bar, smoothed over the last 14 periods of the weekly time frame - displayed on the daily chart. Within this indicator, the asset is uptrending if the volume is above the zero line, and the histogram is colored green if the actual cumulative volume is higher than the previous.
This indicator, even if not very sophisticated, is visualizing the volume trend with a quick blink. The fading cumulative volume is indicating a regression until the valley has started to form (tagged in orange); furthermore, the histogram color is providing a good - or even the perfect - entry for a quick trade or a longer term swing; whilst the summits signaling a level for profit taking or a partial close of a position.
As a matter of fact, considering the upward sliding of the price just before the first green arrow whereas the volume is heavily fading, might also be regarded as divergence although they are easier to spot if either the calculated time frame or the ma period is set to a smaller value than used in the example.
Just bear in mind: As nothing in life is safe to a hundred percent, reading volume is stacking up the probabilities on your side.

Watch Out BitcoinWatch Out Bitcoin

With so many people watching Bitcoin I begin to wonder what it is they’re watching for. Are they only watching today for tomorrow or are they reviewing the past to keep other views open for observation.
While action is slow I like to go back and verify previous signals like the gravestone doji we were left with at the end of August 2019.
If you’re asking yourself what a gravestone doji is it is a bearish reversal candlestick pattern that is formed when the top stem of the candle is greater than 60% of the candle height and the stem below the body is less than 5% of the body height. The color of the doji candle is irrelevant; it can be either red or green. It is a stronger signal if the gravestone doji is red and at the top of the trend. The opposite of a gravestone doji is a dragonfly doji and often has the opposite effect. We’ll cover that later in more detail another time I’m sure but I’ll add this reminder. It is also a reversal signal.
So after seeing the August 2019 gravestone I knew to be aware of the possibility that Bitcoin price could go lower. Then when I saw the next gravestone doji on the weekly ending March 8 I knew I should let up on some of my Bitcoin holding and expect a possible lower entry point. I let go around 7300. We all know what happened next.
With the climb Bitcoin has made since then it is easy to gain doubt and want to buy back in before the price really rockets. Did I jump back in around 4k? No. It was no longer a falling knife but it was still spinning and the following direction was in direct contrast to the study. That’s another reason all the other tools I use are so helpful and allow me to take it one day at a time with a clear and open mind concerning the facts I have before me.
So which will we see first on the daily chart? Will today’s candle turn into a dragonfly doji or will another gravestone doji confirm the course we are on? I’m keeping my powder dry. If Bitcoin has reversed and heading to $100K it will make little difference if I get in at 4K or 9K as long as I’m not losing either.
