Financial stocks were advancing premarket Tuesday, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently up 0.2%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 0.1% lower, and bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 0.3%.

MSCI MSCI was more than 7% lower after it reported a Q1 operating revenue of $680 million, up from $592.2 million a year earlier but below the $685.9 million forecast from analysts polled by Capital IQ.
