STOCKS:

The benchmark BSE Sensex SENSEX rose 103.95 points, or 0.14%, to 72,880.08, while the broader NSE index NIFTY gained 28.7 points, or 0.13%, to 22,132.75 helped by gains in Shriram Finance after it announced plans to sell its housing finance unit.

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee USDINR strengthened 0.02% versus the U.S. dollar and quoted at 83.51 per dollar, tracking rangebound moves in Asian peers.

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond (IN071833G=CC) was quoted at 100.44 rupees, with the yield unchanged at 7.1127%, after local inflation was in line with market estimates, providing little directional triggers.

OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:

The one-year overnight index swap rate (INRAMONMI1Y=) was down 1 bps at 6.76%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate (INRSMONMI5Y=) rose 1 bps to 6.45%.

CALL MONEY/REPOS:

India's overnight call money (INROND=) rate was up 5 bps at 6.75%. The overnight TREPS rate (INTREPTOT=TCCL) was at 6.69%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7005%.
