China's commerce minister meets with Medtronic chairman

Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with Medtronic MDT chairman and CEO Geoff Martha, and said he hopes Medtronic will increase research and development in China, the commerce ministry said in a statement.

The U.S. healthcare company has in recent years ramped up its China investment and has plans to build new innovation facilities, according to the statement.
