Support/Resistance Lines

Bob-Lablaw Updated
This script displays support and resistance lines at the levels you enter in the Input Settings. It does not perform the S/R calculations.

It allows you to:
  • Enter up to 6 support and 6 resistance lines each; any with value of 0 will be hidden
  • Specify one ticker that it applies to, so the lines will be hidden if you switch charts
  • Set the text size, color, horizontal offset, and whether to display the price values for each line
  • Set the color, transparency and line type for the S/R lines

Release Notes:
You can now import the entire OM S/R Levels text block in one copy/paste.

Just copy the text starting at the beginning of the first level to the end of the last level. Then paste it into the "OM Levels" text field.

They can be in any order and have spaces, dashes and dollar signs. At least one of those characters must be between each level name and its value.

You can then update those values or add new levels in the individual Resistance/Support text fields below it.
Release Notes:
Updated to allow the headers "Resistances" and "Supports"
Release Notes:
Updated to allow "+" signs in the OM Levels block
Release Notes:
To update this indicator to the latest version, you need to remove it from your chart and add it back.

This update makes it easier to copy the entire block of text for OM's S/R Levels as posted in his pre-market-analysis.
It allows you to include any extra characters such as the headers (Resistances/Supports), dashes, dollar signs, + signs, etc, as well as any reaction icons that might be included.

Once that block is copied in, you can also override them or add new levels in the individual text fields.
The OM Levels block is optional - you can enter each individual level in the text fields below it.If a value is entered in one of the text fields, you can set it as a strong level by checking its checkbox below the text fields.
Note that those checkboxes are only used if the corresponding text field has a value entered.

For strong levels, you can also change the color/transparency of those lines, as well as show/hide the "+" sign after the label and/or price.
Release Notes:
Updated the manual-entry text fields (not OM Levels) to allow negative values for tickers such as TICK
Release Notes:
Renamed PVI to "Range"; can be used to set an upper and lower range, such as for the week.
Release Notes:
Added ability to use SPY S/R levels with SPY, SPX and ES on the same chart. If you enter the conversion rates provided by OM, it will auto-adjust as you switch to each of those tickers.
Also, you can now add the extra levels that get added after market open by OM (R6, R7, S6, S7, etc) by copying them to the front of the OM Levels text block, followed by at least one space character (the space is required!)
Release Notes:
Updated to allow any specified ES contract (note that OM normally uses the current contract, ES1!, but may switch to next contract a few weeks before it switches to the next contract)
Release Notes:
Updated settings text to show ES instead of ES1!
Release Notes:
Allow breakeven conversion rate (0.0) for SPY/SPX or SPY/ES
Release Notes:
Allow even conversion rate (0.0) for SPY/SPX or SPY/ES
Release Notes:
Fixed bug where SPY levels stopped showing up
Release Notes:
Added support for MES (using ES levels)
Release Notes:
This update simplifies the settings and adds Macro Levels.

What Has Been Removed:
To simplify usage, the individual level fields and support for other tickers have been removed. If you would like to continue to use those features, see "To Stay on Previous Version" below.

Supported Tickers:
These are the only tickers supported with this version:
  • SPY
  • SPX
  • ES
  • MES
  • US500
  • US500.F

Daily Support/Resistance Levels:
For the daily support/resistance levels, copy the entire block of SPY S/R Levels to the first text field. Do not copy the SPX or ES levels.

Macro Levels:
For the macro levels, copy the entire block of ES Macro Levels to the second text field.

Conversion Rates:
Copy the SPY/SPX and SPY/ES conversions if you want to use either level with other supported tickers.

To Update to the Latest Version:
To update, refresh your chart, remove this indicator, and add it back again.

To Stay on Previous Version:
If you want to continue using the features that have been removed, leave the indicator on your chart and do not add a new one.
Release Notes:
Fixed Macro level strong color so it works for both labels and lines
Release Notes:
Updated helper text for weekly ES macro levels to make it more clear that they're for the tier 2 weekly levels (not daily S/R).
Release Notes:
Added ability to display S/R and Macro levels for an additional ticker symbol that can be used along with SPY/SPX/ES.
