Moving Average Convergence Divergence – MACD
The most popular indicator used in technical analysis, the moving average convergence divergence (MACD), created by Gerald Appel. MACD is a trend-following momentum indicator, designed to reveal changes in the strength, direction, momentum, and duration of a trend in a financial instrument’s price
The "Momentum" in this indicator is smoothed out using linear regression. The Momentum is what is displayed on the indicator as a histogram, its purpose is obvious (to show momentum).
What is a Squeeze? A squeeze occurs when Bollinger Bands tighten up enough to slip inside of Keltner Channels .
This is interpreted as price is compressing and building up energy...
So this was something I planned on doing in the future, I knew it would take some time to put together but here it is, the Squeeze Pro 2 Overlays.
On my original Squeeze Pro, I had made several overlay indicators to go along with it, this time my goal was to combine all that stuff into a single indicator and allow the user to turn on and off the specific features...
This is my version of the updated classic indicator created by John Carter. I plan on adding a Squeeze Overlay script in the future that will pair with this one as well for additional signals.
So to break down the Squeeze, what it is, how it works, etc - you have to look at the components that make it up.
1. Bollinger Bands
2. Keltner Channels
The Squeeze-Expansion Indicator or SE indicator shows the contraction and expansion of the volatility of the price,
it does this by evaluating the movement of the standard deviations of the price.
This indicator can be use in a similar way to ADX and momentum indicators and can potentially keep you out of NO-TRADE zones
It can also be used as an exit indicator to...
This is a first attempt to automate what my current strategy when trading is.
It uses 2 timeframes: the one you are currently using to see the chart and an "anchor trend" which is a higher order frame.
Supported timeframes are: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W
The Strategy relies on two indicators:
Squeeze Momentum Indicator
How does it works?
This is the famous Squeeze Momentum Indicator made by @LazyBear in v4 version if someone wants to test some strategies, as the original code was in v2 version the code converter couldn't convert to v4.
Alright so this is a script I made by combining two existing ones and making a really cool discovery that has proven very useful.
You'll notice that there are two separate oscillators that are laid on top of each other. The background oscillator is my "Tip-and-Dip" oscillator which you can see here (will refer to this as TnD from here), and the foreground...
This is the MACD of a stochastic OBV movement indicator, Squeeze Momentum Indicator, and addition coloring for Market Direction Indicator . It is good (right) to work with both price and volume.
In this version we've moved the divergence highlighting to symbols at the ends of the histograms. Same coloring scheme as previous, yellow is divergence of either OBV or...
Chart based on True Strength Indicator
It was improved to show same information as Squeeze Momentum Indicator by LazyBear,
but it seems to have better and quicker response to changes and was tested on Bitcoin mainly.
Based on Squeeze Momentum indicator by LazyBear
This custom version of SQ is part of my Trading System.
How to use it.
Please read the description of the original author of this indicator here.
When the market is contracting or sideways usually you will see red or blue dots.
Blue dots. the market is in sideways and the volatility is low....
This indicator is based on LazyBear SQ Momentum Indicator and SQ Plus Indicator.
This indicator is using ADX and Squeeze Momentum Indicator.
When you see the ADX above 0 line and the slop is positive that means the trend is strong
When the ADX is below 0 line and the trend is weak you will see the slop negative and the color gray
When we see the SQ...
