It operates through the following segments: Fire and Property Damage; Marine, Aviation, and Transport; Motor, Accident and Health; and Miscellaneous Insurance. The Fire and Property Damage segment covers damages caused by fire, riot and strike, explosion, earthquake, atmospheric damage, flood, electric fluctuation, and terrorism. The Marine, Aviation, and Transport segment provides coverage against cargo risk, war risk, and damages occurring in inland transit. The Motor segment offers comprehensive car coverage and indemnity against third party loss. The Accident and Health segment provides cover to compensate personal accident, hospitalization and outpatient medical coverage to the insured. The Miscellaneous Insurance segment includes coverage against burglary, loss of cash in safe and cash in transit, travel, money, engineering losses, and other covers. The company was founded on October 10, 1985 and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
