Dawood Hercules Corp. Ltd. is an investment holding company. Its business interests ranging from information technology and financial services to food, fertilizer, chemicals manufacturing and storage, property development and energy. It operates through the following segments. Fertilizer, Polymer, Terminal, Power & Mining and Other Operations. The Fertilizer segment manufactures, purchases and markets fertilizers. The Polymer segment manufactures, markets and sells Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), PVC compounds, caustic soda and related chemicals all over Pakistan and few central asian countries. The Terminal segment includes operating and maintaining integrated liquid chemical terminal and storage farm and LNG terminal for receipt, storage and regasification of LNG. The Power and Mining segment includes power generation, distribution, transmission and sale of electricity in Pakistan and operations and management services in Pakistan and Nigeria. The Other Operations segment includes operating a terminal for handling, regasification, storage, treatment and processing of LNG and related petroleum products. The company founded by Ahmed Dawood on April 17, 1968 and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
