Holcim Ltd. is a holding company, which engages in the manufacture and sale of construction materials. Its brands include ECOPact, ECOPlanet, ECOCycle, Airium, DYNAMax, Aggneo, Ductal, Hydromedia, and TectorPrint. It operates through the following segments: North America; Latin America; Europe; Asia, Middle East, and Africa; Solutions and Products; and Corporate. The North America; Latin America; Europe; Asia, Middle East, and Africa segments include the production of cement, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete products. The Europe segment is involved in cement, clinker, and other cementitious materials. The Solutions and Products segment focuses on precast, concrete products, asphalt, mortars, roofing systems, insulation systems, tile adhesives, facade solution, and contracting and services. The Corporate segment excludes trading activities. The company was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland.
