The fund is passively managed to provide exposure to the longer-dated segment of Canadian government debt. The index holds CAD-denominated sovereign and province/state government bonds. Municipal bonds are excluded by the index. Eligible securities must have at least 15 years to maturity and a minimum amount outstanding of at least CAD 150 million. The index maintains an average bond rating between AAA and A. The index weights the portfolio by market value and rebalances on a monthly basis.
