Azbil Corp. engages in the design, development, manufacture, and sale of measurement and control equipment. It operates through the following business segments: Building Automation, Advanced Automation, Life Automation, and Other. The Building Automation segment supplies commercial buildings and production facilities with automatic heating ventilation, and air conditioning control and security systems. The Advanced Automation segment provides automation control systems, switches and sensors, and engineering and maintenance services to industrial plants and factories. The Life Automation segment offers meters for lifelines, residential central air-conditioning systems and life science research. It also manufactures and sells manufacturing and environmental equipment for pharmaceutical and medical fields. The Other segment handles insurance agency. The company was founded by Takehiko Yamaguchi on December 1, 1906 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
