Configuring Input Data and Other Improvements to Anchored VWAP

Jul 1, 2020

We’ve made several useful improvements to the Anchored VWAP tool that’ll make it even easier to use and work with. Below we’ve listed all these improvements, accompanied by examples to show you just how each one works. Let’s take a look.

  1. You can now choose which input data will be used to calculate Anchored VWAP in the tool Settings. This allows you to build the upper and lower curves of an Anchored VWAP. To change the input of the tool, just double-click on the line or click on the gear in the floating tool properties panel. Once you’ve taken that step, select the desired data component in the Source field.
  2. You can now adjust the line color and thickness in just two clicks. Color and thickness selections are displayed on the floating properties panel. To customize this, start by selecting the tool on the chart to display the properties panel and then choose your desired line color and thickness.
  3. With our improvements, you can also now display the label of the last Anchored VWAP value on the price scale for more accurate analysis. To enable the display of the last tool value, double-click on the line or click on the gear in the floating tool properties panel. Select the Style tab and then enable Show price. The last value of Anchored VWAP will be displayed on the price scale as a result.
