There have been several major corrections on Bitcoin throughout the years, which many people call "Crashes" and declare Bitcoin dead, but it always recovers. I marked here the most of these huge dips up to today.
The biggest by far has been the 2014 crash of -86.62% which was almost repeated in 2018 (we came close: -84%) - in fact, Bitcoin has done this 3 times in its history - dip by more than 80% - in 2013, 2014 and 2018 during the latest bear market.
But there have been some major corrections even throughout the bull market, like in 2017 for instance, when we had at least 4 dips of over -30%, one was in fact -40% - from the then $7k level to $5k level - something that can still make many people rather uneasy.
This year (2019) we have only seen one correction of more than 20% but none yet come close to 30% or more, so the bull cycle is in full force, let's see where it takes us. (my projection is $40k in a year from now)
