Bitcoin's future known by years end.

BITSTAMP:BTCUSD   Bitcoin / Dollar
With nothing new to offer the cryptocurrency world Bitcoin             is a fledgling technology that may die. By death I mean in 20 years it will be used by retro nerds to make transaction with each other using the world's oldest crypto currency on block chain rather than be the underlying blockchain of the internet of things. I have made solid lines of my projection for Bitcoin             in the next 3 months. I believe it will rise to test 700 one last time before it falls to it's fate.

Whether Bitcoin             lives or dies it has had a tremendous impact on the condition of mankind. It has ushered in a new era of finance that will change the world forever.
Comment: I was wrong!

Bitcoin did not die as expected. What I have learned is that the first mover advantage is stronger than I use to believe. Regardless I have been making a killing betting against Bitcoin in the form of alts.

I believe Bitcoin will not be the center piece of crypto in the long run. It will be crossed by another project which will cause massive swings in the prices of many coins as a result.
what makes you think it will die? love to hear your thoughts on it. do you think other cryptos will rise up to take its place? or big banks will adapt the tech and take it over? or some kind of black swan event will kill it? seems like its looking brighter to me with segwit coming in soon. looking forward to your thoughts. cheers

What do you think is next? Monero? Ether? There's probably technical reasons those are better, but I don't know them.

Crypto is in a pre-cambrian explosion right now. What that means is that there is an explosion of new coins/equities looking for market "niches" (services that they can provide to exist). Ethereum looks to be winning on the applications/equity front. Monero looks to exist as pure money. There are other platforms that are promising as well such as ICONOMI which will set up an index fund to the crypto world. Warren Buffet once said "Index funds exceed managed funds in the long term". After ICONOMI and other funds become successful I think we will see the rise of a decentralized equities market because funds will pick good angel prospects. A whole new wave of companies is going to be crowd funded. This will rise after something like Ethereum is perfected. In the long run I see these assets going in three or four major branching directions. One will be applications (open for all to see, less private), one will be money (maximizing privacy) and other branches that I can't even imagine yet. The fastest growing job in the world is going to be those who know how to issue securities on blockchains. Bitcoin does not have the ability to compete with these specialized chains.

Time alone will tell if your thoughts are on point or not, but from my perspective you seem to have a good insight into this world and the way things may progress. My gut feeling is that you're far more likely to be proven right than wrong.

I forgot to say that reading your comment had connotations of a respectful pre-eulogy. It's almost as if you're a little sad to report what you're seeing. I guess you were maybe one of the earlier investors. I'm newer, but can detect both your regret and also agree with your sentiment.

Yes, you are right. I have been with Bitcoin since it was a dollar. But, as with all things in life, everything comes to an end in a constantly changing universe.

Thanks I appreciate that!
