Hey Gold Bugs!
I want to do a raise in the buy-up to price of Digix Gold ( DGX ). I've liked gold for a long time. This one doesn't move very fast. This is a token that literally owns one gram of gold for every token that you own. It trades on the Ethereum blockchain.
So that's why I wanted to make sure the auditing process is secure, that there is one gram of gold for every single token that's out there. They do generate new tokens as new people buy more. On my homepage of my phone, I keep the price of bitcoin , the price of real gold , and the price of this Digix Gold .
And you can see right now you're paying about $0.21 per gram more to buy the token than you are to buy an actual gram of gold. And someone is safe holding that for you. So as long as the Ethereum blockchain is working, you will have a gram of gold in a vault somewhere. So I am raising the price on this because the price of gold has been going up and this has been tracking it pretty well.
If you've noticed on this chart, there are some bumps in here, liquidity events with Ethereum or with the token where it got highly priced. It looks like that's kind of smoothed out a little bit here.
But if you ever do see anything outrageously priced on this one, it's backed by gold . So any opportunity to buy it cheap, you should snatch that. Or if we're owning this and gold is trading for $50 and the token somehow goes to $100, we may want to sell it at that price and then buy it back if we can arbitrage that. This would be a good one for arbitrage. But for now, we are accumulating this because gold is in a turnaround, in an upward trend.
So I'm raising my buy-up-to price on this up to $50 for each DGX token. It's not going to move fast like the rest of the cryptos because it is backed by gold . It is an asset-backed token. And if you don't have enough gold in your portfolio, this is a good way to get it because of very low costs. You can buy it and put it into your wallet.
