Happy Thanks giving day! Don't chase high of dollar

TVC:DXY   US Dollar Currency Index
7496 20 163
Caution! Don't Chase to Buy the dollar

It has reached a monthly 0.618 level.

a correction may happen.

If you want to buy the dollar, buy the pull back

In 4h chart, there is a bearish engulfing candle.
so what we can do is :

sell DXY             when it retest 101.80 and
Aim 99.10

Very high likely the dollar my fill the gap.

Should we wait for break below trend line on 1 hr chart before entering short? or do you suggest shorting exactly on 101.8 retest.

Hi,

is it will be correct to say that if DXY will go down, than all USD pairs will be affected and follow the same direction?
Reply
@mximus, Generally speaking yes but not all pairs have strong correlation. e.g. EURUSD does have strong correlation, USDJPY less so. Just pull up two charts to compare and you will see.
