Closing the idea. The pattern turned out to be a continuation diamond pattern. A by the book pattern with a test of the breakout. My bearish bias at that moment was exposed by the failure. I did not wait for the pattern to finish (break up or down) before proclaiming it a "top" pattern. It turned out to be "continuation" one :) FYI, it went up 0.618 fib before turning down.
