This is hopeless to set up without proper tools for accuracy. To make ellipses you need a box with 8 points(4 sides and 4 corners) and the center of the ellipse has to be held in one place WHILE adjusting. In "Kyplot" I do this with the control key. The way I make the ellipses is I first draw a very small ellipse to use as a center, then I draw a bit larger one, then I "group" them so they move together. This produces extreme accuracy. I have a pic of Texas instruments in "ideas" that shows how accurate the proper tool can be.
This whole idea of ellipses (or ellipses turned into circles by rescaling) has to do with angles going out at given radius's.
There are repeating distances, angles, channel sizes (that keep their vertical post distance). In fact if you drew out diagonal grids right you'd find amazing consistencies there also. Although hard to use. Another one is proportional boxes (another idea I have in "ideas".
This chart setup looks right on NOW. I am publishing it as much for me as you, because, every time I work with some chart it seems to get cancelled by another chart. Don't know why.
This idea is worth gold...IF you know how to use it...and what to use it with. ie. angles, channels, distances, scissors angles (angle in=angle out), etc.
