To note that Platinum reached for the 100 SMA two week earlier than Gold.
If you look the first time these commodities cut the 100 SMA before entering the downtrend you will also note that Platinum did it with a month in advance. On the other hand, if you look at the monthly charts you will note that Platinum formed a bottom at its 2008 lows whilst Gold is still a very long way to its 2008 lows.
