PCAR Update

NASDAQ:PCAR   PACCAR Inc.
I told one of my followers last week that this will probably close the gap below before the 2 gaps above. Looks like I'm right.

Inflation numbers sucked, I'm guessing 2 big down days coming like the highlighted area. Not going to play the gap today, just warning my followers since they know I love to play the gap fill on this. This gap may stay open for a while./
Comment:
One thing about PCAR is that sometimes it can be slow to catch up to the market. Last week it was deep in the red when the market bounced green, this week the drop was smaller than it should have been. Could've day traded some puts here.
Comment:
Interesting.... GM filled that gap but PCAR did not.

In any case, no long position on this until it hits my arrow target
Trade active:
Went long on stock this morning in the 401k, but options premiums are high (monthly options only for PCAR) so went with GM calls for the trading account.
Comment:
Probably taking the easy money if this goes up tomorrow, don;t want to deal with the Fed meeting

The upper gap also coincides with a futures gap so there's a chance that can fill
Trade closed manually:
Market looks like crap so I bailed while I was still ahead.

At least PCAR held its own against a rough market, down only 68 cents right now. This is why I trade PCAR in my 401k, I think it's a safer stock than most.
Comment:
Gap from this morning stayed open, something to watch tomorrow for the Fed meeting
Comment:
Looked bullish this afternoon but I stayed out, don't need the heartburn on Fed day.

At least I pulled in another $1k in the 401k, up $30k in the account YTD with these one shot trades. I'm really skittish with the 401k, at least with options your loss is limited. Can't imagine losing 10% of my 401k in a week like everyone else the past week, lol.

PCAR is actually even YTD, basically the same price as Jan 1st.
