NASDAQ:SMSI   Smith Micro Software, Inc.
Damn thing keeps hitting my $5 target, lol. I should've bought puts the first time I charted that target.

In any case, I don't think this gets any love until the week before earnings, if that. Start looking at it in a week or two. I expect big movement, probably will only buy 2k shares. Someone remind me, lol.

Made enough money the last couple of days that I decided to risk some of it on this. Accumulating Nov $5 calls for earnings. Much like BB, I think this one is going to move big on earnings and there might be potentially a straddle play. I think we're looking at $3 or $10 after next earnings.
Comment:
I was wondering why this bottoming pattern looked so familiar, take a look at INS. I made a bunch of money off of it last earnings, made the same pattern before climbing up for earnings,
Comment:
Looking at previous earnings, the pre-earnings rally usually doesn't happen until 9 or 10 days before earnings date. Possibility that this dips down to $5.2 area next week, I don't see it retesting $5 unless the market absolutely tanks.

This stock has a tendency to rally before earnings, typically to the quarter high. I think it's wishful thinking to think this hits $6.9 before earnings but $6 is a definite possibility.

Adding more next Thu/Fri if we get the dip I'm anticipating.
Trade active:
With the market looking weak, I sold my stock positions but kept the options due to the big spread between bid and ask. The options are for earnings anyways at the end of the month (Nov options).
Trade active:
Holding its own in a big down market, rolled back in a few k.

There's a possibility that we see more weakness later this week since earnings are at the end of the month, so I left room to add.

I expect the earnings run up to start next week, hopefully goes higher than $6. It's hit the top before earnings a few times, so possibility of $6.8.
Comment:
Would appear that the earnings run up has started a bit earlier than I expected, volume is low, but nobody selling even when the market tanks. Lots of FOMO, lol.

Should pop when the market stops tanking.
