Here is my own definition of what makes a great trader.
It is reprinted here for the entire TradingView viewing community to read.
Most great traders and those who aspire to be great
do not listen to anyone but themselves.
They have extraordinary trader's instincts.
They tune everything out, and are in their own world.
They know the shot.They know their numbers.
They know how, and when to pull the trigger on a trade.
Most importantly,. they know when to sell and get out, before the proverbial fat lady sings.
It's mostly digitalized computer analytical systems making most trading decisions today.
Crowd following systems that move in mass, seemingly often all at once. Interesting.
Follow the computer intelligence, and it will take you there.
Follow your system. Someone smarter than you built it, and runs it.
You pay for their advise, and they ultimately control your destiny.
The mere thought of that make me wanna wince, and run for the hills.
Unfortunately, there are very few great traders out there anymore.
A handful, but they are few and far between.
So what ultimately makes a great trader ?
As the late great record producer David Briggs said so eloquently,
it's the personal intangible. "BE GREAT, OR BE GONE "
