First rule of the trade club: do not try to short the stock market .
Second rule of the trade club : DO NOT TRY TO SHORT THE STOCK MARKET .

Governments of the world gave us a final signal : they do not want the stock markets to collapse. If it's necessary they will print not billions or trillions , but kilions of money. These freshly printed dollars and euros are coming into the stock markets. So if you don't want to fight with an enemy with unlimited life and support it's better to ride this bull in the shadow of the powers. Will this cause a currency market collapse? Mots probably yes. In 202x. Till that time we don't have to worry just buy the dips.
In the following days or weeks SPX             will break to new highs and will force a terrible short covering rally as every short player will have to realize that the Brexit was just another Bear trap.

WIth or without UK the stock market will rally.
Show must go on.
Any thoughts on Gold?

Arpi is bang on! We are indeed headed for another bubble, not a Bear Market like most 'so called' professional analyst are calling. It's time to wake up and smell the roses :)

2nd rule if it's your first night in the trade club : you have to trade.

Like your idea. Also with you on the 2 rules of trading club ;) Couldn't this work in reverse though? What if this post Brexit rally is a technical correction. Covering long positions after the spike down. In that case wouldn't we have just reached neutral and still be in need for a catalyst to go higher? With nervous markets bears could assume some control. And create some consolidation before a move in any direction. Any thoughts?

stock market is likely to retest the high, but might not break out the high and stay there.

interesting observation... Arpi... what entry price range do you suggest for a novice like me???

I don't want to intrude but look for the areas the market want to protect and where there is support...........like 2100 for example. Huge battle there today during the afternoon and the bulls won. I'm sure the author has solid ideas as well.

Agree with the general direction of your idea and the role of central banks injecting additional liquidity. But I would think the bulk of the shorts would have been taken out at 2073, the retracement high made last Friday following the wild gyrations Thursday night after the outcome of the referendum was released. Let me qualify that, I can see some shorts on ES_F between 2095 and 2099. (Add about 8.5 points to get to $SPX.) On Market Delta, nothing beyond those. The easy money has been made. Thanks

Som presvedcený, ze indexu nepomozu miliardy, ani bilióny. Sp500 pojde dlhodobo dole pod hranicu 1600!
