Hopefully we are on the same page when it comes to the long term XRP price. Don't get impatient and frustrated if we hit $0.08 first though. If XRP is destined to become the global liquidity asset / reserve currency, huge manipulation is expected.
Right now, BTC and XRP are coupled. When the bitcoin halving happens, and if its price doesn't go high enough, mining pools will become more centralized into regions with cheap energy. In Hawaii, energy is currently too expensive to justify mining bitcoin. With a decreasing block reward, Bitcoin will inevitably become too expensive to mine and therefore exist.
XRP will have a very hard time decoupling from bitcoin, but it will happen.
