Just for fun, here is an easy way to use the Trading View Screener to find stocks that might be bucking the market trend and heading up. STOP LIMIT orders are a good way to try and increase the odds that the trade goes in your favour, and a STOP sell order below the low of the previous day to get you out if it reverses.
Just thought I would create a quick video to show how easy it is to buy and sell stocks within Trading View. I use Trade Station as the broker - Note: You need to use the US Trade Station. I dont think the International Trade Station works with Trading View. If you would like to sign up to Trading View would be great if you could use my link so we both get $30...
Just wanted to cover where I place my stop losses and different candle types to clear out some of the noise.
Just thought I'd share this video on how I look for screen for stocks making moves post earnings. I wasn't watching the time, so the second video I'll make will just cover using a different bar type and perhaps when to sell.
Was just playing around with the replay function in Trading View and thought I'd share this to show how the SuperTrail indicator worked on a couple of different stocks. The SuperTrail is basically a modified SuperTrend but instead uses a percentage to allow you to manually set the trail level for individual stocks. Some need a wider trail, some a smaller one....
The SuperTrail indicator is similar to the very popular and widely used SuperTrend but it has been improved to use a percentage value instead that helps users to determine the natural trading range of a stock over a period of time, and set stop losses (especially trailing stops) accordingly. The best way to use it is to find stocks in a steady trend (upwards if...
Trading View can sometimes be frustrating when you use the timescales on the bottom left it automatically changes the length of your candles so I tend to simply set my candle I want to look at and scroll in and out with my mouse.
Just thought I would share how I determine my stop losses - and in this example - trailing stops for shares that I buy. I never like to trade without a stop loss and have found that trailing stops are the ones that best protect my capital and keep me in a trade the longest with minimal effort. Somewhere in the 10-20% type range works best depending on what kind of...
Quick overview on how I use some of the Trading View tools to mark up charts so I can see what I was thinking at the time and why I traded (or didn't) them. Makes it easy when you are flicking through your watch list to see if they meet your criteria to enter or exit a trade. Also good way to keep kind of a training / trading diary so you can see whether you...
TradingView Education: How to add an indicator to an indicator Got asked how to add a Moving Average to another indicator so thought I'd make a video for the fun of it.
Just a very quick tip I find useful and thought I'd share. It's a way I can keep track of my buy price on shares without having to go back and forth to my trading software to see how the price action is performing against my original purchase price.
Just a very quick (ie 10 min limit) overview of some of what you can do to get started customising Trading Views charts. Ill probably need to do a few more as there is SO much you can do...
