Long term analysis - Market was bullish before the Virus and it changes quickly to accommodate the virus/crisis requests, so it should keep going upward - Bullish long term
Short Term I would go Bullish - same direction of the trend, but there is an Option B where the price can jump back to 84.00
Technical Analysis pattern - it seems to be a bullish pennant/flag (rectangular) pattern (more flag less rectangular).
YUM weaknessYUM has short potential the risk reward areas are highlighted in red and green its about 1:3 which is decent stop would be 20 ema and profit at gap the intraday 5 min chart shows weakness too

YUM - upside limited by the 200dMA and gap areaYum Brands on Thursday warned that its 2020 results could fall short of its long-term outlook as the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak weighs on sales in China and Pizza Hut struggles to turnaround its U.S. business.
Yum’s long-term outlook includes annual same-store sales growth in a range of 2% to 3% and net new restaurant growth of 4%.
Here’s what the company reported, compared with what Wall Street was expecting based on a survey of analysts by Refinitiv:
Earnings per share: $1, adjusted, vs. $1.13 expected
Revenue: $1.69 billion, vs. $1.66 billion expected
Same-store sales: 2%, vs. 2.3% expected
200 Day MA at 107 and gap area at 110 limits the upside, while a breach below 99, would pave the way for significant downside.
A worsening of the corona situation would further weight on the stock.
BEAR FLAG OR BREAKOUT???I haven't been in any of their chains for years. I was gonna drive by Taco Bell but that drive thru was at least 10cars ahead of me. Im not sure if service was slow or maybe lunch time is always busy so I just decided to try Habit Burger for the first time. As a SOCAL In-n-out fed resident their burger and service is pretty good for sure. Not a big fan of Pizza Hut and my co worker would always bring KFC every putlock and it taste the same as always. Looks like an accumulating phase right now.
MY BULLISH BIAS: Nothing is stopping this BULL MARKET and their $2B buybacks
MY BEARING BIAS: Sellers might take advantage of this bear flag formation
MY CONCLUSION: I will enter a position sooner that later. See chart

Yum brands (YUM) - Trend intact, dipped below bollinger band = $Yum brands overall strong fundamentals with company. Shifting their focus to mergers & acquisitions setting themselves up for success in 2020 and on.
RSI is slightly oversold.
Bollinger bands indicate a short term reversal after dipping below southern band days ago.
Long term trend line indicating the historical level of support and trend is still intact.
Initiated buy @ 97.62.
Exit around 109 (next resistance), then 115.

$YUM | Daily TF | Bear Flag Unconfirmedits hard to be bearish on equities honestly but this is possible painting a bear flag, however, keep in mind that it is not confirmed until we break below <$97
Ill be happy to change my bearish bias with a break upwards from the bear flag because you see, in a bull market, it is quite common for very evidently obvious bear flags to be a large driver of price action as it can easily be a bear trap.
I will remain simple and see it as potential a bear flag until proven otherwise, im also not taking the trade until it is confirmed.
$YUM TurkeyDay Gapfill UDPATE - 64% gapfillAn update on the Turkey Day gapfill idea posted last month! We achieved 64% gapfill which made for some great gains!
When looking for Gapfills, its important to not set your expectations too high! Often times a gap will only be partially filled because a gap us USUALLY an overreaction... Strip off the "over" part and its just a REACTION, which means when you strip away all the emotion fear and fomo, its going to have SOME reaction to the news that caused the OVERreaction. I like to set my sights between 60-75% of the Gap for taking profits. If the gap is 20$ i may shoot to take profits when the fill has reached 15$ or so. It's all contextual to the news and catalysts (and of course the ticker) that you're dealing with.
none-the less, Gapfills are a fun setup to play -- just be realistic in your expectations and dont be greedy.
