Swiss exports mostly pharmaceutical products (26 percent of total exports); natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, precious metals, metals clad with precious metal, and articles thereof; imitation jewellery; coin (25 percent); nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (7 percent); organic chemicals (7 percent); clocks and watches and parts thereof (7 percent); optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus; parts and accessories thereof (6 percent); electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (4 percent); and plastics and articles thereof (2 percent). Germany was the largest destination of Swiss shipments (15 percent of total exports), followed by the US (14 percent), the UK (9 percent), China (7 percent), France and India (6 percent each), Italy (5 percent), Hong Kong, Japan and Spain (3 percent each), Austria, Singapore, the Netherlands and Belgium (2 percent each).
