So I am downgrading my review after the broker replied to my original review and I called them. In the reply, the broker says that commissions are reflected in your PNL when you use the Optimus Flow platform but not TradingView. When I called the customer care line, the agent says that commissions DO NOT reflect even in the broker's own platform. That's so uncoordinated and not helpful. I have also noticed that several of my live trades do not close when I hit take profit level. It says order is 'rejected' and stays that way until the market reverses against me and I lose all my gains. That's frustrating and downright dishonest.
We would like to address the issue of rejected orders you have experienced. While we make every effort to ensure the smooth execution of orders, certain factors are beyond our control. For instance, rejected orders may occur due to insufficient margins in your account. Please note that every rejected order has a reason, and we do not intercept any orders.
We strongly recommend that you carefully review all your open positions before deciding to liquidate completely. Also, please be informed that all commissions are reflected in the statements you receive daily.
If you use TradingView with CQG as your data feed, we would gladly incorporate costs into the data feed if possible.
We would also be delighted to review with you how margins work and the role of the data API. This will help you avoid any future issues with rejected orders.

Jake Montag has consistently provided exceptional customer service as I've onboarded with Optimus Futures (and even after). I am happy to write this review because I'm sure folks complain when things are less than perfect. My experience of Jake is that he is an exemplary representative of the company (I had to confirm that he wasn't the owner- seeing that he was so attentive to me as a customer- it's not common to get that level of customer service from someone who doesn't own the company). What I think about Optimus is a whole lot so in short let it be a summary of all the 5 star reviews you see here about them - go ahead and read all of them. From my experience with them these clients are telling the truth.
Their customer service is amazing and I am happy to have Jake as my broker. The blog section of their website is a treasure trove of valuable information where new traders will learn a lot and experienced traders will get a good revision of certain topics especially items like risk management - check it out!
Optimus clear trades through some of the strongest FCMs in the industry and their commission rate is great. Their low day trading margins gives you a lot of purchasing power. Highly recommended!!!

Started having issues executing trades. Blamed Ironbeam for it. Cost me 800 bucks. Also commissions are outrageous on Micros.
We are sorry you are having problems. The execution that occurs over CQG happens independent of us, so we do not blame our clearer for it. This could be latency-related, order/execution, net functionality, etc. We would be happy to review this again, although our rep did reach out to you and was very clear on the functionalities that may have caused it. Our rates are competitive with industry standards; however, if you trade frequently, we'd be happy to adjust them for you. Again, we are very sorry for your experience and we'll do everything we can to help further.
