Living in Singapore , I can fully relate why we nee to get out of our apartments and go visit the malls. One, the weather here for the most part of the year is HOT , HOT and HOTTER. So, to cool down, people like to "escape" during the weekend to the malls, especially if they have kids.

There, they can visit the bookstores, have their meals, do their groceries shopping, watch a movie, etc. This would be the nearest entertainment for them without leaving the country.

Next, being social beings, we need to get out of our comfort zone and socialise and connect with people. So malls are also a common meeting place for friends to gather and meet for coffee & tea. Brunch, high tea, buffet ,etc are popular here in Singapore malls.

So, this LINK REIT present a good buying opportunity for me.
It has broken out of the bearish trend line and after breaking out, it has now retreated close to 7% discount !

I would monitor a while more to see if the situation of the coronavirus has subsided as that would affect the mood for the people in HK to come out and shop. Schools are not closed till further notice so public places like shopping malls where people can congregate on weekends are a possible breeding ground for the virus to spread.

Another false breakout.
Not buying but observing the overall retail trend now.

A little sad that this REIT price keeps falling lower but happy that I can get it cheaper later.....

Looks like reversal is in now. Triple bottom at around 60 level and it is now going to break out of the resistance at 72.15. I will take a small position later when market opens.
