Im reminded of the tulip bubble. As of investigations today into the upcoming fork , there is yet NO agreed upon path regarding what will actually emerge. The chart I looked at last said that the "Satoshi's vision," wasn't likely , nor the other two iterations , and predicted that the current chain would "die, of course."
I don't believe everything that I read , but personally I would like to know what will happen to any BCH if I were to hold any. For those who saw this coming at $420.00 u.s.d. and bought 10 or 20 BCH I am very , very happy for you. The profits realized as the market seems to be slowly rejecting 600.00 u.s.d. would be huge and likely the greater part of any reward the hard fork brings. Set a stop loss because you did good , and go buy a steak dinner. For the people still, at 600.00 usd and more disturbingly 0.09395 BTC , who are buying in , haven't you seen this before?? Remember what BCH used to be worth? I sincerely hope that you will profit , but a buy in now is a really interesting and gutsy move. You are operating in a bubble , because while there are gains being made nearly across the board, BCH's are wildly disproportionate. BitCoin is trading at just 6,420 U.S.D. , Ripple is backpedaling as people take profit, and inter currency exchange rates for BCH are effectively devaluing some Crypto's even as they gain in small proportion.
If the market as a whole was moving more in pace with BCH I might see a future at this price, albeit perhaps a short one should the BCH chain itself break as articles have suggested.
What happens when disproportionate gains like this are made is an eventual correction , and in order for people to profit , others must lose. This is after all PEER to PEER stuff. It's crypto , and with crypto as I have said before, the standard weights and measures DO NOT APPLY. C.C.N. understands this to a degree , using 4 hour candles instead of the 1 day candles traditionally used t predict the movement of stocks and other , traditional holdings.
In order for one to take profit at 600.00 usd , or wherever it may go , someone must BUY at that price and it is that person left holding a bag of tulips.
If BCH survives , let's hope they figure out a use for it.
Caveat emptor and good luck out there.
