Take Care: More Bitcoin Bear Scare

BITSTAMP:BTCUSD   Bitcoin / Dollar
Summary: Expect falling prices.

The BTC price is below the monthly S1 pivot price and the slow MACD with settings three month moving average compared to half year moving average is also starting to show a downtrend with the first red bearish bar, while the faster one month compared to two month moving average is still bearish . The 10 day vs 20 day moving averages are also bearish . Unless Monday, December 29 brings some unexpected major positive news - the downtrend is going to continue.

Yeah, I don't know why I confused that... what I meant, what are those R1, P, S1?

Those are Fibonacci pivot levels for the period, P=Pivot or 50% Fib line, R1=Resistance 1, S1=Support 1

Yes, this is a build-in TradingView indicator with the name "Pivot Points Standard", where I changed the setting to 'Fibonacci' and 'month'.

Here is an explanation of these S1, S2, R1, R2 support and resistance levels based on Pivot Points:

Awesome, thanks.

Hey, the 5 control panel, reset, movement etc... it disappeared from the bottom of my charts. Is there a on/off somewhere I hit?

Ok, I found it... the R1, S1, P now go R2, R3 as well. Did you customize yours in code or are you using the built-in?

I didn't customize it. I did what I explained here:

"I changed the setting to 'Fibonacci' and 'month'"

The Winklevoss twins just updated their Bitcoin ETF. This news is not yet priced in. It could have some bullish impact:

Happy New Year 2015 ! :)

We had as expected a short spike yesterday thanks to the Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF news. Peak was $321 on Bitstamp. Now it looks like the downtrend resumes. Current price: $314

The downtrend is still there, but there is a growing chance that it might reverse if the price stays a few more days longer around $315.

Yes. I was expecting it, that's why I was posting this "Take Care: More Bitcoin Bear Scare" chart 5 days ago.

But since the market kept on being choppy at $313-$316 there was a chance that we don't drop if the level could be held. But China cut through the choppiness with selling when they woke up to Saturday after the price hit the resistance of 1950 CNY confirming the downtrend. That happened like 2 hours after I updated my chart here.

The choppiness and very tight squeeze is finally over. A new direction has been found. As expected 5 days ago (hence the chart title "take care" & "bear scare") it's going down. Last low was $298.89 on Bitstamp. I expect a bounce here for a day or a week before it goes down below $298

I doubt it. $255 is a solid area which I anticipated. Sadly I was traveling while it crashed so hard therefore I can only publish this in hindsight:
