I have threads for assets that are typically viewed by investors and traders as market leaders. Having an idea where the market leaders are heading will give you a compass to make decisions in smaller cap assets that tend to follow.
I will do my best to keep these threads purely technical in nature.
The Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Market
Cryptocurrency has to be one of the most unique asset classes to come about. They are the first private market solution and competition to government fiat currency. I believe they will be a topic of discussion and a pain point for governments for decades to come. Governments derive most of their control from control of the money supply. It is expected that we see some chaos and potential havoc in this market or deriving from it.
Bitcoin - The Leader
Bitcoin is the leader of the crypto market. If you have an idea of the direction Bitcoin is heading in, you'll be able to find good entry points for any alt coins you are interested in. This isn't a crystal ball, but you may be able to look at a bitcoin chart and recognize a great buy, a great sell, etc.
I will add that on a high time frame, we have to look at Bitcoin on a logarithmic scale due to its volatility.
