Bitcoin has been moving in a downward channel since the end of June (green).
More recently the coin has been confined below an "inner" line demarcated by the (yellow) line; it has only pierced this line in an upward motion once since September and was roundly rejected by the upper green resistance.
Today it broke above it and so far seems to be using the yellow resistance line as support.
