Hi Everyone! Someone asked, "What is exchange time?" I hope I provided an explanation as to what "exchange time" is. It's basically whatever time zone the exchange is located. Yes, you could change the time zone in the chart settings to the time zone you are located. However, it's possible you and another person you are talking to might get confused as to when a particular candle begins and how much time remains in that candle.

In my opinion, it's important to have all your charts setup to "exchange time" within the chart settings so that there is no confusion when discussing analytics that involve how much time remains in a particular candle; or how much time has already passed within a particular candle.

I hope this was helpful. Please feel free to add to the conversation with any explanation you may want to add in the comments section.

Stay Aewsome!

UPDATE:

By the way, it appears all crypto exchanges are setup for UTC London time when looking at the charts. Maybe this is a "standard" all exchanges agreed upon. If I'm not mistaken, I believe all FOREX trading also uses UTC London Time. So, it appears what time a candle began in a specific time zone is irrelevant if only considering how much time remains in a candle. Because the "time remaining" in a candle always refers to UTC London time in most cases. As for what time that candle began in YOUR OWN TIME ZONE depends on if you had setup the chart within chart settings to your own time zone. However, I recommend leaving your charts setup for "Exchange" time to be in sync with everyone else who has their chart setup for "exchange" time.
