DAX week 13

Short
FX:GER30   DAX Index
Hello everyone,

This week, I offer my analysis of the movements of $GER30 during the week and my outlook for next week.
Have nice reading and be pleased to comment if you want.

Reminder of my prevision of last week: «My perspectives for next week:
- I don’t see GER30 break the resistance of 14800 (but I have prepared a plan if it breaks, because as we saw last week: we never know).
- Except if bad news occur like: new lockdowns, rise of US/Russia tensions or US/China tensions, I don’t see a big fall.
I think next week will be the good week to take some selling positions around 14700 and wait for it to fall during the last week of the month.»

This was almost a perfect week! Everything follows the prevision… except the 2 last hours of the week where $GER30 clearly break the 14800 resistance.

So, what happens this week?

Monday: Everyone was surprised by what happened in Turkey. Neither bulls nor bears took the lead and it end in a flat day.

Tuesday and Wednesday : Two very flat day, marked by some light portfolio rollover at the beginning of each session and some good data facing German lockdown news

Thursday: After a light rollover at the beginning of the session, a massive a rollover occurred in the afternoon and it pushes $GER30 up to the moon (or almost, reaching 14650)

Friday: $GER30 rose gently towards the high of the range and during the night with low volume some big whales tried to catch to stop loss with success which explains in my opinion the break of Friday evening.

My perspective for next week:
I have two main scenarios:
1st: What happened on Friday is a real break of 14800 resistance then I am expecting some important roll over during the three first days of the week (which mean falling to 14600 and getting back to 14800) and a calm week after that.

2nd, this is a fake break of the resistance. Then, I am expecting a fall during the three first days of the week and a rise during the last day (Friday is Holiday in Germany).

Those scenarios highly depends on the events which could occur during next week also.

What to follow next week?
At first, like the weeks before: the US Bond during the whole week and the German and French Bonds also.
Then: US/Russia tensions and US/China tensions
Finally:
- Monday: Calm;
- Tuesday: US Consumer confidence;
- Wednesday: China manufacturing PMI, German and US unemployment and US Crude Oil Inventories
- Thursday : German manufacturing PMI and US manufacturing PMI.
- Friday: close for Easter.

I wish you a good trading week,

Please feel free to ask me any questions, I will be glad to connect with you over the comments or by private messages.

Alexandre
