NZDUSD: Potential Bearish Advanced Bat Formation & Possible TCT

FX:NZDUSD   New Zealand Dollar/U.S. Dollar
Potential Advanced Bat Formation setting up on the NZDUSD             which would complete close to the 72 cents even handle.

Higher timeframe analysis on this pair causes me to predict a bearish Continuation down to our lower level of structure, so this would be an opportunity where the trader may want to consider looking for extended targets.

Akil is your dotted line a potential stop loss or how do you determine that in your strategy?

The dotted line represents the price point of a psychological number. But stops should be above that level since it also lines up with the impulse leg of the advanced pattern formation

Sorry but i don't get it.. the BC leg it hasn't reach the 61,8% how is this bat pattern valid...?
I do not require the "C" leg to hit the 61.8
Reply
jaktrader Akil_Stokes
Oh ok... But isn't that the rule for the bat pattern..? the C leg to hit at least 61.8% and not close below 88.6%..?
No. For bat pattern assuming notation XABCD the conditions are: B is <.618 , C can go anywhere between .382-.886 and D point is at .886XA + BC projection of minimum 1.618 or more and a minimum AB=CD completion. Cheers.

Whether you follow the way i trade them, how the trader above trades them or how you personally trade them, the key is to perform detailed backtesting to make sure that it's indeed consistently profitable

I know! Keystone event..! Charles is an excellent trader also! I hope i could be in the event though... :/ I live in Europe so i couldn't actually made it to the event cause i was really busy at that time...

Different traders will have different requirements in order to give the valid pattern formations. I don't personally require the level but that doesn't mean you're wrong to do so

Didnt trade as it didnt complete the bullish pattern, but rallied off AB=CD strongly
If we retrace will be looking to entry on completion of pattern

Hey Akil, first I have to say that the Keystone was amazing. Very useful webinar for all trader’s level in my opinion, to refresh knowledge and improve them too is never a wrong option.

When you posted this potential Bearish adv. Bat formation I was a little bit sad because I didn’t see it so I didn’t take it bcz I didn’t have the time to read the chart and of course will not take it just because you said that, mainly because it must meet my rules. I´m following your rules :)

Now that you are out on NZDUSD, I’ve spotted a potential Bearish adv. Cypher formation with X leg @ 0.731.

Nice i have my eye on that Cypher too.

There is also a potential bullish Cypher @ 0.7176 with the X leg @ 0.7160 on the 15 min. Looks like there is some decent higher time frame support looking left and also a 1.161 inversion and harmonic move as confluence. Could use this Cypher as a possible way up to previous highs/ up to the bigger bearish Cypher formation.
What do you guys think? @Makolico @Akil_Stokes

I don´t trade in 15 min. time frame because I´ve no time for such a lower time frame.

I haven't checked out the lower timeframes on this pair but I'll keep what you said in mind when we get around to it.

Thanks for joining. I always love doing events like that because they are refreshing and anytime you can go over over information it's a learning experience. As far as your cypher goes, juts be sure to double check your "C" leg to make sure that it's valid.

I'm waiting for this potential bearish Cypher to complete and confirm the trend continuation

proceed with 2618 maybe?

I'm not seeing any 2618's but that's certainly a technique that can be used to involve yourself in a trade
