QQQ: Tech stocks are potentially a bubble

NASDAQ:QQQ   INVESCO QQQ TRUST UNIT SER 1
There are some ridiculous growth stock charts out there, with longs leveraged and positioned at weak entries where they can easily be shaken out, causing a cascading selloff in Nasdaq. I'm concerned here, so I hedged my portfolio using futures shorts, looking to add more to Nasdaq shorts to be net short here. There's risk of a deflationary bust now, as gold started to fall. The same is true of #BTC, it might not end well for many people. Maybe it was due, the 'brrrrrrr' meme was certainly ridiculous and social media was filled with gold and BTC bulls, and emboldened growth stock traders.
I would look for ridiculous stocks like #ZM and others to short, with proper risk management of course.

Cheers,

Ivan Labrie.

I started believing in the big tech empires, not to mention the power of the Feds at work now. The tech sector is completely immune to recession. These corporations are beasts. Betting against them is like committing suicide.

@BarrenWaffe, I was long big time since the lows though, don't think it is just some perma bear babbling :p
The worst part is that gold can melt in the faces of many pro bulls as well. Should be interesting to see this pan out. Hopefully we come out of this period in good shape.

@Vollchaot, it's gravely concerning how mainstream that 'inflation cause money printing, duh' idea is.

@IvanLabrie, True. The Liquidity crisis was caught by the FED. But can a solvency crisis be caught by them this fast? The latter one should mean much bigger entanglement between lenders and borrowers in a fog of "who is going bankrupt and who not?" - I think the FED won't throw money at ALL the debt that is out there at some point (maybe even in the not too distant future)...

@Vollchaot, it sure is worrying, unless the economy reopens soon, we're not out of this mess yet.
