SBF may not be immune from campaign finance charges

NASDAQ:SBFM   Sunshine Biopharma Inc.
According to Coindesk, before Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) received a criminal trial in October, U.S. prosecutors withdrew charges against him for campaign finance. However, that doesn't mean the DOJ will let SBF go, and campaign finance charges could still come to trial later. The Justice Department said earlier this week that the Bahamian government had notified the U.S. government that the campaign finance charge was not included in its arrest warrant and extradition documents, suggesting the charge would require the consent of the Bahamian government. The charges were added to the March trial date.
SBF is currently scheduled to stand trial on October 2 on seven counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. He will then stand trial again next March on five additional counts, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitter and conspiracy to bribe foreign government officials.
