The Fear Trade Pushes TLT to Major Juncture

BATS:TLT   Ishares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF

The 20+ YR T-Bond ETF (TLT), which is considered a good** measure of fear in the markets, has made an impressive run since the start of the year, as equities and other risky assets took a hit. The TLT bounce clearly outline the risk-off mode markets have been, triggered by selloff in emerging markets on fears of U.S. tapering effect and the recent slowdown in U.S. economic activity also supported the fear trade.
However, investors should monitor the TLT carefully at current levels, as the index has reached a key juncture, and a pivotal technical transition area. The price is facing a major resistance area among 108.75-109.85, a breakout above that area would complete a weekly double bottom formation, breaks a key resistance and the long term 200-week and 52 Moving averages, and that could hint something bigger is coming to global markets.
