ELON WINS!
It's been a crazy few weeks following Elon's proposal to buy Twitter however much to his chagrin and the surprise of many I'm sure, he's won!
Twitter just agreed to be bought by Elon Musk at a cool tune of 44 billion with Musk paying $54.20 per share.
Why is it important?
Twitter hosts most of the discourse in general when it comes to global media as well as politics with the acquisition we could soon see Elon bring about a lot of changes in that to Twitter having expressed views with dissatisfaction of the Management as well as his views on content moderation. In Elon's press speech he made sure to note a few thing as follows:
"I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential - I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it"
I won't add much besides what we know for right now. but I'm very confident that we will see some significant changes be introduced to twitter following this acquisition. In today's day and age, we haven't necessarily seen what would happen if an individual were to simply buy out an entire company. Well, it seems about now that we will and personally, Elon has a gift for helping change and form companies for the best to put it simply, I can't guarantee that of course with Twitter but I definitely feel happy to know that Musk won. We really are in a new digital age, and this, could be one simple step of something so much bigger yet to be seen. But what do I know, I'm simply a Rock.
