Despite rates being 2% in other markets, the US Long Bond rate has fallen to 2.5% where we saw an important bottom back in 2012.
Investors may be using this drop in yield (rise in bond prices) to shift funds over to other asset classes, like stocks.
Look for more time at this price (2.5%) and a lift from here to revisit 2.6% and 2.7% over the near term.
