Despite appearances, USD/CAD appears to be headed downwards. The daily pivot point has served as resistance, with the price adhering to the resistance zones of both the weekly and daily charts. The next crucial step would be for a cross to occur and for the price to firmly establish itself below the weekly pivot point.
