Since I was kindly asked to update my views, I will make one final attempt to chart the market's centurion movement based on volatility. If there exists any correlation between the markets and reality anymore, then something like this should play out eventually to finally restore organic balance to the markets. However, after witnessing what has transpired this year, I would say this is just an educated guess from somebody who still believes the market is attached to something tangible. It could very much have become a completely unhinged ghost entity that has nothing to do with the economy, astronomical levels of debt or rising poverty anymore.
