Wanchain has been hiding in the shadows of the bear market for years, and may be set for a comeback in 2021. Development is still very much active, as recently a new cross-chain AMM DEX (Wanswap) was released, modeled after Uni and Sushi. In terms of transaction speed and fees, it certainly competes with the ethereum-based decentralized exchanges. Both liquidity and volume have shown steady growth since the launch in Nov 2020, but are still very small (current liquidity around 12.000.000 $) . If Wanswap succeeds, this could spark a revived interest in WAN. It could also mean the end of the thus far endless decline of WAN against ETH:
