Do Not Compare Your Chapter 1 To Someone Else's Chapter 10
Hi Traders, just a bit of personal sharing today, not any typical workshop.
One thing all of us as a Trader must understand, is to not compare our Chapter 1 to someone else's' Chapter 10.
I believe every successful Trader came from a single digit P&L, then progressively scale-up. When i first started trading it was small, but after years of trial and error I'm glad i come to a stage where I'm handling four to five digits P&L almost everyday.
Am I satisfied yet? No.
Will any of us ever be satisfied? I think its probably a no too.
Couple of weeks ago i met a hedge fund trader who's handling an eight figures portfolio. Imagine if I were to compare myself with him, how tiny would i look like?
So stop comparing and start taking action.
Some of those people you watch on social media are either trading demo accounts, OR they've been in the game for over 10 - 20 years.
How do you even compare yourself who just started trading for 1-3 years to someone else's who's been in the business for tens of years?
One step at a time its all it takes to steadily grow, in terms of knowledge, skillset, and mindset.
Whether you're in your early 20's or late 40's, it WILL take time.
So stop rushing the process and stick to your discipline. Someday, you will be there.
