Monero is a great privacy coin. As we all know the price is going up because Monero to hard fork on the 14th of March. See link below;

As a holder, you won’t notice anything significant. This is just another routine update, as has happened many times in the past.
Nodes on the network will need to be updated, and if you are hosting your own wallet, that will require an update as well. However, this is not a fork that will split our blockchain as we saw with Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash.
