But I've been watching this company for some time and love what they are focusing on and I find it particularly compelling. 22nd Century Group is a plant biotechnology company that has developed patented technology that allows them to grow tobacco with a specific amount of nicotine. The tobacco component is huge because it will allow smokers to keep their smoking habit while slowly kicking the nicotine addiction. Currently you have to completely quit the social habit while also dealing with the debilitating addiction withdrawals. This flips that around and can make the process much easier.
In addition to the tobacco component, they also have the ability to grow marijuana with specific cannabinoid/terpene profiles. This will allow them to create strains that are developed specifically for different uses (pain, insomnia, anxiety, seizures, etc).
