Ugh. Doing my weekly market review/screening and there is literally nothing high IVR/high IV to play ... . Nada ... . Zilch ... . One option is to sell puts in one of these "just high IV" underlyings: VRX: April 21st 11 goes for .56 AKS: April 21st 7 goes for .31 AMD: April 21st 13 goes for .66 WLL: April 21st 8 goes for .28 CLF April 21st 8 goes for .34 X:...
AMD held support between the range of 12.41 and 12.93 . After hitting these prices we saw a strong rejection to the down side and the price bounced up . Many saw this sell off as a great buying opportunity due to the fact that AMD has been in a uptrend since early last year. According to my research it is still a good time to buy AMD as it has not yet...
AMD has been on a massive uptrend, the selling off right now is nothing to worry about. At first the market reacted badly to the Ryzen but in coming days I believe people will realize how good it actually is. From a technical stand point the area's of support are between 12.92 and 12.42 AMD is trading above its 50 SMA which is widely referred to as the...
AMD has shown no signs of slowing down, until now. After the mixed reviews of Ryzen, which was initially a reason for all the hype around AMD, investors are selling. With even the largest investor dropping 45 million shares at $13.70. This is all as AMD was hitting a near 10 year high, which also happened to be a major resistance/support level. On the weekly...
AMD's chip is weaker than INTC's one in many regards, although an improvement compared to previous chips. I'd still like to own one, but the hype implied it'd beat INTC's offerings, which it didn't. Valuation and the fundamental factors at play imply we can short with comfort. Good luck, Ivan Labrie.
I really dislike recommending short or long because I am a newbie and I just chart without news or feelings. So please take them accordingly. This is outside the channel now volume seems relatively high on down move compared to last time. 12.63 seems to be the support on Weekly- Daily support is 10.99
The future short-term performance of the NVIDIA stock will be decided in the next couple of days... If Nvidia is going to break the support line we are going to see a major pullback, otherwise it could reach a target near 108$
The company is bleeding money. The new Zen CPUs are just part of the hype until proven by real customers.
Update to previous Idea I didn't publish. Looks like a great bounce off the 10 EMA with a gap up today. Hoping to catch the retest today for a swing and day trade.
AMD has established a trading floor around $13. Limited downside, and a short-term catalyst in the Ryzen chip being released on March 6. Early reviews should be released February 28, leaks suggest that the reviews will be good: www.forbes.com
One year bullish cycle correction coming. Best scenario is 61.8% correction, buying chance of 5.76 before skyrocketing on 3rd long term wave.
I'm short $NVDA, aiming for considerable downside as $SPY starts a short term correction back to support in the 223 zone. Valuation justifies taking any and all short opportunities in this stock, so, I'd reccomend taking a 0.5-1% risk position here and let it run for a month at least. Good luck, Ivan Labrie.
Great Gap Today. Though it's a gap and go, I expect that it will retest the strong support/resistance level. May take a day or two before trade triggers. Ultimate target will be 16.32 if I'm willing to hold the position for a month or more potentially.

After retest lower point of 9.4, AMD picked up its momentum and went up above its 5MA. See continuation of the trend.
AMD came in our Mastermind class last Friday while doing Finviz scan. Looks a very perfect shorting opportunity as it is breaking down a Rising wedge formation. Moneyflow crossed down its uptrend & seems falling sharp.
